November is Senior Pet Month

Beginning at around age 7, your pet enters his or her senior years. Often, pets begin to develop diseases common to their senior human counterparts, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, liver problems, kidney problems, thyroid disease and cancer. Because our pet companions cannot let us know when something is wrong, many of these diseases can go unnoticed in their early stages therefore preventive health care and appropriate diagnostic testing is critically important.
