Dipl. T. (Medical Laboratory Sciences): BCIT 1988
B.Sc.(Biology): SFU 1989
D.V.M.(with Distinction): University of Saskatchewan 1994

Dr. Steinebach was born and raised in Chilliwack graduating from Sardis Secondary School.  He has a keen interest in animal welfare issues and has given a great deal of his time to animal advocacy groups.  He is called upon on occasion to provide his expertise with respect to animal welfare issues during SPCA investigations.

Dr. Steinebach is often found at continuing medical education seminars learning and honing skills.  His "gadget" junky nature always has him on the lookout for a new piece of diagnostic or treatment equipment to add to the arsenal at our hospital.

While Dr. Steinebach's number 1 priority is providing quality care to his patients, he also has a strong sense of pride in his profession.  He has served for 5 years as a member of the British Columbia Veterinary Medical Association's Practice Accreditation Committee and served in the capacity as Chairman of this regulatory committee.  In this role he oversees all regulatory issues surrounding inspection of practices to ensure that they are adhering to Practice Standards and Regulations.

Dr. Steinebach greatest joy is his family.  He spends every moment he can with his lovely wife Lisa and his three daughters Victoria, Olivia and Rachel.  Dr. Steinebach enjoys cycling and skiing and is a past silver medalist in the BC Cup Cross-Country Mountain Bike Championships.   When not riding bikes he is writing about them as a contributing writer for the NSMB.com e-zine (www.nsmb.com).
