Payment and Insurance Options

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit, and cash. Unfortunately, personal cheques cannot be accepted.

We understand that you might not always be prepared to meet the financial obligations that present themselves when your companion becomes ill or gets injured. When these circumstances arise, we can assist with making arrangements for financing with PetCard Financing. PetCard provides rapid turn-around approvals through an online financing application. We will always provide accurate estimates for procedures and will never proceed with any treatment without your express approval of the treatment plan, which will always include an easy-to-understand and comprehensive breakdown of costs. Our pledge to you is that your final costs will be what you agreed to prior to the start of any procedure.

Insurance Options

Insurance for pets is a growing and important way for pet owners to ensure that they will be able to provide for their pet family members when they become sick or injured. We are pleased to accept any insurance providers coverage, but owners need to know that most veterinary medical insurance plans require either:

1. Pre-approval for pre-payment of costs to be incurred with treatment (i.e. surgery costs can be substantial, and the payment from the insurer can be placed as a credit on your account prior to the procedure being performed)
payment by the owner at the time of the procedure with reimbursement to the owner once insurance forms are submitted by the owner or by us.

2. We also provide free insurance trial coupons for select patients at their first visit as an easy and no-obligation introduction to the world of veterinary medical insurance. 30% of all pets will become sick or injured by the time they are 3 years of age. This reality makes investing in veterinary medical insurance a great option for most pet owners.

Our first and foremost priority remains the health and safety of our clients and staff, while maintaining our high standard of quality veterinary patient care. We have all experienced the unpredictability of this pandemic and feel strongly that adopting a cautious strategy is in the best interest of keeping everyone as safe as possible.

Our plan going forward will be to start slowly.

2. We are continuing to accept appointments for urgent or sick pets, as well as time-sensitive puppy/kitten vaccinations. All other services will be scheduled for a later time. However, if you’re unsure whether your pet needs medical attention, please call us to discuss your situation.

3. We are still OPEN with the following hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Sunday: Closed

4. Online consultations are now available! If you wish to connect with a veterinarian via message, phone or video, visit our website and follow the “Online Consultation” link.

We will continue to keep you advised of each step of our process as we move forward to a tentative full reopening in a few short weeks. We are so excited to start this reopening plan and can't wait to welcome ALL of you back into the clinic.
